Borrow a Bike For Free!

We now have several bikes available to borrow completely for free! Our bikes are located right at the museum and the process to borrow is quick and easy. Simply talk to one of our interpreters, fill out the form and you're good to go. Bikes are available Wednesday - Sunday, 10AM - 5PM.

The Harvest Moon Trail

Access to the Harvest Moon Trail is right by the museum. The trail runs all the way up and down the valley and is actively maintained. It sits in on the former railbed of the Dominion Atlantic Railway, which ran both passenger and cargo trains up until 1990. Today the trail is the perfect place to take a relaxing bike ride and enjoy the sights along the river.
